Voodoo Festival

Wednesday, April 23rd, 2008 by Paul Goodison

At last the Voodoo Festival in Benin, can be booked via our website. This trip to Benin and Togo coincides with the Benin Voodoo Festival - a celebration of the traditional Voodoo cults, as well as a chance to visit one of West Africa’s most fascinating areas.

Explore’s two other Voodoo tours have been extremely popular and this tour that departs in time for the Festival in January 2009 is surely going to be booked up quickly. Worth giving it a look. (P.S. It takes a little time to get visas for this tour so be prepared and get them early!)

Its Friday! Have you booked your Holiday yet?

Friday, April 18th, 2008 by Paul Goodison

If you haven’t booked your holiday for this year then what have you been doing?

I just realised I haven’t so probably need to get looking!

Rajasthan was last year’s trip but where this year?

We currently have a £50 per person discount on our Greek Caique cruise for departures in 2008 and this also applies to the Family Caique Cruise too - I’ve heard that its one of our most relaxing tours and good value (then I would say that wouldn’t I?)

I’d quite like the idea of getting on a Festival tour too although one of my favourites (Naadam festival) has already sold out for this year! Still the Paro Festival in Bhutan could work.

Although I’m quite excited by the Solar Eclipse in July 2008 in Russia, Mongolia and China.

Probably though the best option this year will be a family trip to Italy, particularly our trip to Tuscany, nice and active, lots of food especially pasta!

Where do you think I should opt for? And where are you going?

Fiesta, Fiesta

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008 by Paul Goodison

In case you have not noticed we recently launched our series of Festival holidays with a wide variety of different experiences across the globe.

Rio Carnival, Brazil

Rio is obviously a stand out amongst festivals however there are lots of ideas here for those of you seeking to get closer to the culture of a country.

Take the Mongolian Eagle Festival or the Clarenbridge Oyster Festival in Ireland or even the Festival on the Niger in Mali.
